# How do subcontractors work?

A subcontractor is invited onto one job, with a scope and a price. They see that job and nothing else, and can accept, counter or decline. They are not a second company and they never see your other jobs or your finances.

## Step by step

1. Open the job and go to Subcontractors.
2. Invite them by email or phone, with the scope of the work and the price.
3. They accept, counter with their own scope and price, or decline.
4. You see where each stands.

## Good to know

- A subcontractor does not take a seat on your plan.
- What they can see on the job is set by a role you define.
