A panel upgrade, from the first call to the final payment

This is how a typical electrical job goes in GetProSpace. Your jobs will differ, and the steps bend to fit.

  1. The request and the walkthrough

Capture the request and walk the job. Photograph the panel, its label, the circuits in question and anything that looks unsafe. Mark what you are pointing out.

  2. A written scope

List each circuit, fixture or panel you will install and what you will not touch. Offer add-ons, such as surge protection or extra outlets, so the customer chooses.

  3. Approval and permit

The customer accepts and signs online. Note the permit and inspection in the schedule so nothing is closed up before it is checked.

  4. The work

Log each day and photograph the work before it is covered. Anything found behind the wall, such as old wiring or damage, goes through a change order.

  5. The inspection and the final bill

Schedule the inspection, then invoice the balance, record payment, and keep the photos of the finished panel and circuits with the job.

Photos worth taking on every electrical job

Photos protect you if the work is questioned later. They are kept with the job by phase, with the time they were taken, and you choose which ones the customer sees.

  • The panel, its label and the circuits before you start
  • Anything unsafe you find, marked with an arrow
  • Wiring in the wall before it is closed up
  • The new panel with the labels visible
  • Each added outlet or fixture
  • The inspection sticker or sign-off, when you have it

What changes mid-job for electricians

Each of these can change the price or the schedule once the work starts. A change order writes it down, sends it for approval and adds the approved amount to the job's price.

  • Old or unsafe wiring behind the wall
  • A panel location that cannot meet the clearance rules
  • Water or pest damage found when opening a wall
  • Extra circuits the customer asks for after starting

What electricians use most

  • Estimates and e-signed agreements

Build the estimate with packages and add-ons, send it by text from your business line or by email, and have it accepted and signed online. The electrical estimate template shows the layout.

  • Photos, marks and before-and-afters

Take photos on the job, draw arrows and circles on them, pair a before with an after, and make a PDF photo report.

  • Schedule and crews

Put each day on the calendar, assign people, and see warnings before anyone is double-booked.

  • Invoices and payment records

Bill deposits and balances, record each payment you receive, and see what is owed.

  • Changes to the price

Write up extra work, send it for approval, and keep the job's price and schedule honest.

  • Warranties

Issue a warranty certificate in your own words. For example: "We will correct any defect in our wiring and connections for two years from the day the work was finished."

Questions from electricians

Can I put my license number on estimates and invoices?

Yes. Add it once in Settings under Company. It prints on your estimate and invoice PDFs along with your logo and contact details.

Can I keep photos of work before it is covered up?

Yes. Photos are kept with the job by phase and with the time they were taken, and a phase can be sealed so photos in it cannot be deleted or moved.

Can my crew only see their own jobs?

Yes. Roles decide what each person sees. A crew member sees the jobs they are assigned to and nothing about prices or other jobs unless you allow it.

Is GetProSpace only for electricians?

No. It is made for any trade that quotes, schedules and bills jobs. The estimates, documents, warranties and roles are written in your own words.

Do I need a card to try it?

No. Every new company starts a 14-day Pro trial with no card.
